Fambidzanai Permaculture Centre is a training center that was established in 1988. It is a registered Trading Trust private limited (No 87/18) that is governed by a board of trustees. The Zimbabwe Institute of Permaculture (Z.I.P.), a registered trading trust is responsible for the assets of Fambidzanai. Fambidzanai has been at the forefront of developmental organisations promoting food security through sustainable land use and management (Permaculture) in Zimbabwe. The centre has fostered the creation of four other development institutions namely The Natural Farming Network (NFN), The Schools and Colleges Permaculture (SCOPE), (AFFOREST), and Permaculture and Ecological Land use management (PELUM). Currently, the organisation is running a number of activities including income generating projects .These include training in Permaculture at the centre and outreach training for farmers in Kezi ,Svosve and Juru communal areas. The centre also runs a number of refresher courses for farmer organisations and individuals.
